Breast Cancer talk, letter by parent 1 Dec 2007

Dear PSG,

I attended the talk on Breast Cancer @ GRPS on 1 Dec 2007. I personally support Greenridge Primary School for organizing such an important talk. The two speakers were Dr Tan Yah Yuen, Consultant Breast Surgeon and Dr Esther Chuwa, Associate Consultant, from KK Breast Unit. They spared their time apart from their busy schedules all the way to our school to make known to women on the risk of Breast Cancer which is common in Singapore now. The topics covered were very useful and informative. The information given helped me to understand the facts, risks, symptoms, treatment and Mammography. I am very sure that everyone went home with a good knowledge, useful information and awareness. I hope GRPS will organise such session next year and hoping that many women not only from age 40 and above will attend but younger women should make their time to attend, anyway it is free and it is held at the school, very convenient. I personally thanked Mrs Chew, Mrs Tan and teachers for inviting the two honorable speakers.Thank you.Regards Massita
